This study addresses photovoltaic panel efficiency loss—up to 50%—due to soiling and highlights demineralized water as an optimal cleaning agent. It introduces an innovative approach using SEAS Air to Water Generator (AWG) technology for water supply, overcoming challenges in model selection and sizing via a cleaning time optimization method. The DIrt model estimates energy loss from soiling, and application results demonstrate that proper AWG system choice can prevent 83% of related energy losses, marking a pioneering design tool for AWG-based panel maintenance.
